Greetings of the season, everyone! Whether you celebrate Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanza, Saturnalia, Solstice, Hogswatch, or some other mid-winter holiday I don't know about, may you and your loved ones take comfort in the celebrations of the season during the shortest days and longest nights of the year!
This has been an interesting year or Yours Truly. I fought with the American team in a world championship medieval combat event in Europe again, but it was in a different organization and with a ruptured ACL. I wound up on an episode of the Discovery channel's "Big F'n Swords" show (due to be aired on January 20th at 10 PM in most of the US) and got surgery to repair my knee. My "day job" went away (the company shut down its NYC offices) but wound up working for a brand-new comic book convention called NY Wintercon. I changed up my training routine, incorporating various elements of mixed martial arts and Crossfit, and revived my work on my Captain Marvel Culture project. I had to stop my training and competing due to my injury and surgery but managed to produce more videos and T-shirt designs and help build the Armored Combat League in NYC. I have entertained hundreds of children as a jedi or superhero. And I somehow managed to maintain a relationship with the the best woman in my life right now.
I want to thank all of you who have supported my efforts this year. Whether by contributing to my fundraisers, buying my videos, music, comics, and shirts, watching my videos on-line, or just sending words of encouragement and support, your support means a lot to me. I makes me realize that my efforts are not being ignored, and hopefully will not be forgotten. If anything I have said or done entertained, educated, or informed you, or just made you feel better, then I feel my life is worth living.
