CLASSES
The Monologue Showcase Class:
Instructor: Harry O’Reilly
Wednesdays
January 14th, 21st, 28th
February 4th
**6:30pm to 9:30pm
This four week “Showcase” class will help you find monologues that will push you to a new level and represent you as an actor at the same time. It will also focus on how to make monologue auditions work best for you.
Each actor will leave class with two “calling card” monologues.
The first three classes will be with Harry O’Reilly focusing on:
A - Exploring the pitfalls actors fall into when choosing and acting their monologues and making sure we don’t fall into them!.
B - Developing your monologues, through improvisation, text study, relationship study and performance.
C- Rehearsing for the Showcase.
The second half of the fourth class will be "Showcase Night" where four Industry Guests (two legit talent agents and two top casting agents) will watch the actors perform their monologues and hold a Q and A after.
We have had many of actors called in and casts and also have had many of our actors signed through this class. So be reminded preparation and stamina are a must. This is a great class!!
Note: Each actor will need to have two monologues to perform in the first class. Harry will have many monologues available for you to work on if you want new ones.

Clay is a brand new agent working with Penny Luedtke Agency. He represents actors throughout film, television, and theatre. He is excited to come and meet with our members in hopes of aquiring some new talent.

Ilene Starger Casting is currently casting for the untitled Mark Lawrence Project. She most recently casts for the Notorious BIG, and Pink Panther 2. Some of their other works include, School of Rock, Marci X, Music and Lyrics, and Night at the Museum.
*Jeremy Zall (Legit Agent) Kolstein Talent Agency
Jeremy has clients acting in TV: Six Degrees, 30 Rock, Sopranos, The Brotherhood, The Hill, Rescue Me, Numbers, The Black Donnellys, Knights of Prosperity, Ugly Betty, Law & Order (all 3). Feature Film: Pirates of the Carribean 3, Underdog w/Peter Dinklage & James Belushi, The Girl in the Park w/Keri Russell & Kate Bosworth, Winter of Frozen Dreams w/Thora Birch & Keith Carradine, Indelible, They Came From Upstairs, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button w/Brad Pitt & Cate Blanchett, Starship Dave, 21 w/Kevin Spacey & Laurence Fishburne.
*Nadia Lubbe (Casting) Bowling Miscia Lubbe Casting
Nadia is now a partner with Bowling Miscia Lubbe casting which cast many exciting projects including, New Amsterdam and Kings. She has worked on the feature films Kit Kitteredge: An American Girl with Abigail Breslin and Joan Cusack, You Don’t Mess with the Zohan with Adam Sandler and Rob Schneider. In the past she has worked on the TV series The Black Donnellys, Mad Men – AMC series, Kidnapped, Medium – NBC series, Rescue Me, Third Watch, ER. Past films include Zoolander, Sweet Home Alabama, Abandon, Ladder 49.

We are extremely excited to have Adrienne Stern here at the studio for the first time. Adrienne is one of the busiest independent casting directors in New York. She is a phenomenal teacher who has been the business for a long time. Currently she is casting for The Suspect at St. Mark’s Place, Blue World, and The Scientist. She has just completed casting for films such as Goyband, The Immaculate Conception of Little Dizzle, Fortune, Play the Game, and A Beautiful Life.

We are excited to have Jack back. Jack is excited to be back also, he is currently working with two of our actors from the last time he was here. He has clients acting in the TV projects The Brotherhood-new series, Cashmere Mafia-new series, all Law & Order series, The Black Donellys, Canterbury’s Law-new series, Sopranos, Rescue Me. Film: Baby Mama with Greg Kinnear & Tina Fey, The Good Shepherd with Matt Damon & Angelina Jolie, Sweet Flame with Mira Sorvino & Rachel Dratch, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 with America Ferrera & Amber Tamblyn and Telephone.

Rori Bergman Kathleen Chopin Casting
Tuesday, January 20th

Rori is a casting associate with Kathleen Chopin Casting. She is currently casting two independent features herein New York. She has most recently cast When in Rome, Old Dog, and The Bleeding. She also did the casting for movies such as Zoolander, Sweet Home Alabama, and The Manchurian Candidate. Rori is always looking to meet new actors and have called many of our actors in, in the past.

Hapy Holidays! Captain Zorikh's latest on TV, music vid, magazine, You Tube...!
Happy Chanukkah, Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa, happy Solstice, Saturnalia, and everything else that goes with the season! I hope that this time of year brings to you the joy and festivity that is traditionally associated with mid-winter festivals, especially that you can look back on a year of growth and forward to a year of success!
Thank you to those of you who made the Movie Madness at Café Nijasol a success, and welcome to those of you new to Captain Zorikh's updates!
I just got through a remarkable shooting day for the latest film I am directing, "The Duel." We shot a scene with samurai on the beach, and fights involving boxers, king fu fighters, and pro wrestlers, all in one day! Pictures will be forthcoming!
It's another big week for Captain Zorikh in the media!
The Science Channel continues to shot the program "Sci-Fi Science." It seems that almost every episode includes a bit of the lengthy and extensive interviews shot of me at I-Con and NY Comic Con earlier this year. The different episodes of the half-hour show are being broadcast several times a day and friends tell me that the episodes about blowing up a planet and building a lightsaber include some footage of me being interviewed at I-Con this year!

Finally, not too long ago I was part of the production of the music video "Constantinople 1453" by the Greek-American heavy metal band Phoenix Reign. It was in the finals for the IndieMusicTV.com top videos competition. If it wins, I may be able to show it at my next Movie Madness screening at Otto's Shrunken Head January 17th!
